Bagheera
My name is Bagheera and I am a neutered house cat, born in 2013. Unfortunately, my owners do not know much about my childhood, they adopted me from the shelter when I was about 6 months old. I was the first cat they chose together, and they had a preference for a black cat, because they always stay the longest and until the end. They chose me because I was very calm in the shelter as a kitten. But there was a surprise waiting: Once in the house, I caused a stir. Energy for 10 and a real rascal I was as a kitten.
Actually I am just a common cat of an unspecified breed, but my owners sometimes call me their black panther. As an adult (now even a senior) I have become quite big and strong. But I am very good-natured and sweet. My owner describes me as affectionate and grateful - I always say "thank you" when my owner opens the door for me so I can get some fresh air outside. Then I meow very sweetly at them.
You might not think so, but I still like to play quite a bit in my old age. A good toy rod easily tempts me to run around the room like a crazy kitten. I also can't believe my luck when you have a catnip toy for me. I then completely faint, and then my rattle plays up. As a kitten I probably had cat flu, you know, and although I'm not contagious you can often still hear it in my breathing. I sound a bit like I have a cold, especially when I'm lying down nice and quiet I can be heard well.
In the evening I prefer to be near my owners. I like to lie on your lap, low on your legs or high on your chest. I do have competition with the other cats in the house, but I don't mind if I have to lie a bit further away from my owner. But still within reach. And if the adult owners don't have hands or legs free for me, I can always go to my child owners. I like to lie on their bed, because then I know that I will be cuddled wonderfully.
