Cat show Limbra Cat Club Panningen

On Sunday, November 12, 2023, we were allowed to participate in the Limbra Cat Club's international pedigree cat show in Panningen. This time it was only a 15-minute drive from home, so getting up extra early was not necessary this time. We drove to the cat show with a fully loaded car.

When we arrived, we first had to do a digestive check. Gaia mastered this with flying colors! Then we were able to set up Gaia's enclosure and it was time to chat with the other cat breeders. There were beautiful Bengals sitting next to us and the other cats at the exhibition looked fantastic too!

Just like at the pedigree cat show in Woudenberg, Gaia was the only Savannah there. People came to see us specifically to see Gaia - "you don't often see a Savannah at a cat show" and "aren't they wild?"

It is special to be at a cat show with Gaia. Not all Dutch pedigree cat associations recognize Savannahs. This is starting to change. There are more and more cat associations that are now making an exception. I hope that by introducing Gaia, people will get a different view of Savannahs.

Everyone saw how sweet, sociable and beautiful Gaia is. They were able to see the true behavior of a Savannah and I was able to talk about the sweet character of the Savannah.

It was lovely to see how curious the visitors were and how much fun they had seeing Gaia up close. People discovered that the Savannah is very different from the "wild" cat breed portrayed in the media.

At the end of the afternoon, Gaia was allowed to go to the judge. Normally, Savannahs don't get a prize, but to our surprise, she told us that this time Gaia would win a prize. We won the sponsorship award for Savannah!

Limbra Cat Club, thank you for the great day!
